Srinagar Airport’s curtailed 8 am-5 pm flight window remains in place till July 31, as the Indian Air Force continues a runway upgrade that began on April 6.

This is a temporary change from the airport’s usual operating hours of 8 am to 10 pm.

About 60 flights, including arrivals and departures, normally operate at the airport each day within the standard window.

The reduced hours are aimed at supporting the runway upgrade, intended to improve operational efficiency and safety standards.

Authorities have said flight frequency is expected to increase in line with the summer schedule approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation once the works are completed.
