The Civic Journal is committed to accurate, fair and independent journalism.
Accuracy and sourcing
We verify claims against primary sources such as court orders, official statements, filings and on-record interviews wherever possible. Information drawn from other news organisations is attributed and, where we cannot confirm it independently, described as reported.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are made by our editors alone. Advertisers, sponsors and partners have no say in what we cover or how we cover it.
Corrections
When we get something wrong, we correct it promptly and add a note with the date of the change at the end of the article. To report an error, email contact@thecivicjournal.com with the article link and the details.
News and opinion
Opinion and analysis pieces are clearly labelled and kept separate from news reporting. Views expressed in opinion articles are the author’s own.
Sponsored content
Paid partner content is published under the Brandpost label and marked as sponsored. It is produced independently of the newsroom and does not reflect our editorial judgement.
Use of AI tools
We may use software tools to assist with research, transcription or formatting. Every published article is reviewed by an editor, who is responsible for its accuracy.
