India sealed a 3-0 sweep of their T20I series against Zimbabwe with a 35-run win in the third and final match at Harare Sports Club on Sunday. Chasing 193 after India’s 192/5, Zimbabwe were restricted to 157/7.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s 81 off 49 balls was once again the highlight of India’s innings. The 15-year-old opener had a maiden T20I half-century off 18 balls in the first match of the series, followed by 20 off 9 balls in the second.

The innings confirmed Sooryavanshi as the first batter from a full-member Test nation to score two international fifties before turning 16.

Mayank Yadav’s 3 for 29 anchored India’s bowling effort, restricting Zimbabwe’s batters and ensuring the chase stayed out of reach through the back half of the innings.

The 3-0 result in the T20Is follows an identical scoreline in the ODI series earlier on the tour, giving India a clean sweep of Zimbabwe in both formats.
