Pankaj Tripathi will be feted with the ‘Artist of Distinction’ title at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026, for his contribution to Indian cinema.
This will be the first time the National Award-winning actor attends the festival in Melbourne, Australia, in person to accept the honour.
The festival will take place from August 13 to 23, 2026.
Rani Mukerji will also be honoured at the same festival with an Honorary Doctorate, headlining the event alongside Tripathi.
Tripathi’s career includes Sultan Qureshi in Gangs of Wasseypur, Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur, a National Award-winning role in Mimi, and appearances in Newton, Stree, Masaan, OMG 2 and Main Atal Hoon.
