Shan Masood’s 88 not out lifted Pakistan to 199 for 3 against West Indies at stumps on day two of the first Test in Tarouba.
Masood, batting on 88 off 137 balls with 11 fours, shared a 155-run stand with Imam-ul-Haq, who made 63.
Pakistan’s innings began poorly, with opener Azan Awais bowled by Kemar Roach for a nine-ball duck.
Salman Ali Agha remained unbeaten on nought off 9 balls when the day’s play ended.
West Indies had been dismissed for 311 in their first innings, with Mohammad Ali taking four wickets for Pakistan.
Pakistan will resume their innings on day three, still trailing by 112 runs.
