India are set to name their Test squad for next month’s tour of Sri Lanka, with fitness calls on Ravindra Jadeja a key part of the selection process.

Jadeja has been recovering from a tennis elbow injury picked up during IPL 2026, with no official update yet on his recovery status.

Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness is also under review. Both players were unavailable for India’s one-off Test against Afghanistan.

Jadeja is nevertheless expected to be considered for a recall, given the value of his all-round game against Sri Lanka.

The two-Test series opens with the first match at Galle on August 15, followed by the second Test in Colombo from August 23.

India go into the series in fifth place in the World Test Championship table.
